The Hiring Process

Learning First Educational Services strives to hire, retain, and compensate employees with the skills, experiences, and abilities to accomplish the goals and objectives of the company.

In accordance with Public Law 99-603, also known as the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, Learning First Educational Services only employs U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers. All persons hired by Learning First Educational Services are required to verify identity and employment eligibility and will undergo a criminal background investigation.  Teachers must attend a New Teacher Orientation before they can be hired.

Teachers/Tutors

Learning First Educational Services accepts applications on a continuous basis for all academic programs and services. Interested applicants should print, complete and mail the application packet along with a resume, copy of teaching certificate (if applicable), two references, and proof of membership to a professional teacher’s organization (GAE, NEA, PAGE, etc) to Learning First Educational Services Attn: Human Resources 5006 Austell Road Austell, Georgia 30106 or Email a brief letter of interest and resume as one document to gharris@learningfirst-ga.com or fax to (770) 819 - 4334. Include an email address on faxes. Indicate the first three school districts in order by preference. If you have questions, please call (770) 819-8976 or 1-877 TUTOR 92.

Qualifications:

  • Have at least a bachelor’s degree in English, math, science, social studies, Spanish, or special education
  • Be a college graduate, graduate student, or certified teacher (retirees included)
  • Be a college senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA  in core area
  • Other college students can apply as substitute teachers

Salary:

$20 - $30 per hour

Atlanta Public Schools, Baldwin, Ben Hill, Bibb, Bulloch, Calhoun, Carrollton City, Chatham, Chattooga, Clayton, Cobb, Colquitt, Crawford, DeKalb, Dublin City, Emanuel, Glynn, Greene, Gwinnett, Hancock, Harrelson, Houston, Laurens, Long, Lowdnes, Marietta City, McIntosh, Merriwether, Monroe, Muscogee, Richmond, Seminole,  Stewart, Talbot, Taliaferro, Terrell, Troup, Wayne, and Whitfield.

NOTE: All applicants are required to undergo a criminal background check. It is the applicant’s responsibility to obtain an OFFICIAL COPY of his/her criminal background records. The criminal background check must bear the official seal of the law enforcement agency conducting the investigation. Applicants must have the agency forward the criminal background check in a sealed envelope with the agency’s official signature across the sealed portion of the envelope.
