Our tutors are grounded in the instructional methods of differentiated and standards based instruction. Each tutor has content knowledge in one or more of the subject areas (i.e. English, mathematics, science, reading, and social studies,). Tutors are also trained to work with Students with Disabilities and ESL students.

The diverse backgrounds of our tutors allow us to acknowledge and effectively work with the many culturally diverse backgrounds of the students we serve.
Our staff comes from a variety of educational and career fields.  We employ certified teachers, college graduates, graduate students, and college seniors.  All of them have content knowledge in a specific academic field and they must pass a subject area assessment before they are hired. Tutors must demonstrate a proficiency in their subject area. 

The tutor-student ratio is 1:3 or 1:1 for regular education students and 1:1 with ESL and Students with Disabilities.
To ensure the safety of our students, all office staff, volunteers, and tutors must undergo and pass a nationwide, statewide, and sex offender criminal background check.
